LONDON — Arcadia Biosciences (ArcadiaBio.com) is developing GLA-enriched safflower oil, which will be commercially available in late 2008. The oil contains unprecedented levels of the omega-6 fatty acid gamma linolenic acid (GLA). Studies suggest regular usage of GLA may have significant anti-inflammatory effects and help alleviate symptoms commonly associated with ailments such as diabetes, eczema and premenstrual syndrome
